“Je ferme les yeux pour voir.” – Paul Gauguin

Just as Paul Gauguin’s famous quote has inspired artists throughout modern history to explore inner meanings beyond visual images, this beautiful program encourages listeners to close their eyes and experience evocative stories and images through words and music spanning five centuries. Each of the performers in this program takes turn as a narrator with selected texts relating to the music.
