Join Adam Zinatelli, trumpet and Akiko Tominaga, piano for the album launch of All that Glitters, works for trumpet and piano! This groundbreaking recording showcases the work of two living Canadian composers, William Rowson (b. 1977) and Dorothy Chang (b. 1970), as well as lyrical works from the mid-20th century that highlight the sensitive and silvery qualities characteristic of Zinatelli and Tominaga’s musicianship. This special MainStage concert celebration is not to be missed!

This programme showcases the work of two living Canadian composers, William Rowson (b. 1977) and Dorothy Chang (b. 1970). Framing their new works (in Chang’s case a brand-new commission) with works from the mid-20th century provides context as to what is new and unique about their voices, while also showcasing the more sensitive side of the trumpet, which often takes a backseat to the power that often stays in the listener’s mind.

*This event will feature a pre show chat featuring special guest, featured composer Dorothy Chang.
