Instrumental Society Of Calgary – Kreutzer! Concert Update
It was with a heavy heart that we had to cancel our March 15th Kreutzer! concert but the health and safety of our performers, patrons, and volunteers must be our top priority. Our intentions are to reschedule the event when it makes sense to do so and current tickets will be honored at that future performance date. We will be reaching out to ticket holders as soon as we finalize a date. In the event that you will not be able to make it to the rescheduled Kreutzer! concert then we ask you to consider donating your ticket value to the Instrumental Society Of Calgary.
For more information please contact our box office at email@example.com
Thank you and we wish you all the best in this trying time.

Rodolphe Kreutzer, a remarkable 18th century violinist whose own compositions have largely been forgotten, but whose name lives on through the works of others, provide the inspiration for this program. Beethoven’s heroic Sonata for Violin and Piano, and Janacek’s intensely descriptive and often frenetic string quartet are linked by the same name, the Kreutzer Sonata. The program closes with the intensity of the Grosse Fuge, one of Beethoven’s greatest achievements.
